Acts 1:8 team travels to western Ukraine

BIRMINGHAM (TAB) — The “north team” of the Alabama Acts 1:8 group in Ukraine visited three villages in the west Sept. 11.

Scotty Goldman, a member of the team and an associate in the office of global missions for the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, said that in the rural areas of Ukraine, believers are still ostracized from their community. “They are not included in social events and are sometimes treated unfairly in business affairs,” he said. “Their children are often mistreated by other children.”
