Trunk or Treat, Fall Festival events reach out to communities across the state

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (TAB) — Several churches across the state will hold a Trunk or Treat event or Fall Festival on Oct. 31 or later this fall. Churches use the events to go outside the church’s walls and present a community-wide event that places a positive emphasis on the day — instead of a dark emphasis. The events are also used as evangelistic opportunities, like Alexander City’s Community Fall Fest of 2011, where a prayer tent was set up for visitors to have the opportunity to stop in and be prayed for.
