Oklahoma tornado kills dozens, injures many; Alabama Baptists send funds, lift prayers

BIRMINGHAM (TAB) — The May 20 EF4 tornado that tore through Oklahoma City followed a similar path of a 1999 tornado, flattening buildings and destroying neighborhoods. More than 90 people were killed and more than 140 were injured in the Monday night storm, The New York Times reported.

Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief has sent emergency funds to help the Oklahoma survivors in the beginning recovery stages. Please continue to pray for the state of Oklahoma and those trying to help in the aftermath of the tornado. In kind donations are not needed at this time but donations can be given at www.sbdr.org.
