Calvinism report gets positive reviews

NASHVILLE (BP) — A report on Calvinism in Southern Baptist life has received positive reviews from bloggers on both sides of the theological spectrum. … Adam Harwood, assistant professor of Christian studies at Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Ga., wrote a blog at, “Five Reasons To Be Thankful for the Statement from the Calvinism Advisory Committee.” Harwood is not a Calvinist and last year was one of the signers of a statement that critiqued what it called the “New Calvinism” in SBC life. That statement was titled the “Statement of the Traditional Southern Baptist Understanding of God’s Plan of Salvation.”
