WASHINGTON (TAB) — Gay “marriage” wins a victory in court today, but the 38 states that have not legalized it are still protected at this point. The United States Supreme Court did not totally overturn the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), but it did strike down a key part. The High Court declared that same-sex couples who are legally married deserve equal rights to the same benefits that heterosexual couples receive, such as tax breaks and pension rights, the Los Angeles Times reported.
