Congressional town hall participation promoted

WASHINGTON (BP) — The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission is encouraging Southern Baptists to participate in congressional town hall meetings during the August recess. Russell D. Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s ethics entity, said in an Aug. 5 email alert to constituents the town halls conducted by members of Congress in their districts provide “a great opportunity to personally reach out to your representative to express your views on religious liberty, life, marriage, immigration, and more.”
