HUNTSVILLE (TAB) — University of Mobile President Mark Foley opened the afternoon session of the Alabama Baptist Pastors Conference. Foley shared about Generation Y (ages 15 to 33). Speaking to pastors, Foley asked, “Who will disciple Generation Y? Be assured, someone will. And if it’s not the Church, it will be the culture. … If we are serious about seeing this nation come back under the influence of Jesus Christ, we need to focus on Gen Y. … We preach the Word … because it doesn’t change. … We may need to think about the way we preach it and in what language,” referencing the language of technology, that Generation Y speaks as a “native tongue.”
