Americans give to religious groups on Giving Tuesday

WASHINGTON (TAB) — December 3 is the second annual Giving Tuesday, “a movement to create a national day of giving to kick off the giving season,” according to givingtuesday.org. And according to The Washington Post, billions of dollars will go to religious groups in 2013. New research counts motivation for giving and donations to faith-connected nonprofits that are doing secular service like fighting poverty as “giving to religious groups.”
