Golden Gate Seminary sells campus, plans for relocation

MILL VALLEY, Calif. (TAB) — After years of attempting to sell its campus, located on prime Californian real estate in Mill Valley near San Francisco, Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary has reached a sale agreement with North Coast Land Holdings. President Jeff Iorg announced that the sale agreement, unanimously approved by the board of trustees, would provide resources for a new primary campus in the Orange County/Los Angeles area, a new commuter campus in the Bay Area and “a substantial addition to the seminary’s endowment.” The seminary will remain fully operational during the transition that may take at least two more academic years. Iorg assured students that their degree programs would not be interrupted as the school has a lease-back agreement for the current campus.
