Attacks don’t hinder Ukrainian Christians

DONETSK, Ukraine (TAB, BP) — Not even gunfire from protesters has deterred Ukrainian Christians from gathering to pray near a political rally site in one of the country’s eastern cities.
In Donetsk, Christians continue to persevere despite violence and harassment, according to evangelical pastor Sergey Kosyak.
Eggs, rocks and even large pieces of cement have been hurled at a prayer tent that Kosyak and others put up three months ago to minister to people during Ukraine’s political unrest.
But despite the opposition, the group continues to pray each day for the city of Donetsk and for the entire country.
In Kiev’s Independence Square, a prayer tent erected by evangelicals still stands and each day people gather to pray and pass out Bibles and other Christian literature.
