SOUTH ASIA (BP, TAB) — More than 450 people have been killed since floodwaters began surging across northern India and Pakistan Sept. 3. Hundreds of thousands abandoned their homes as emergency transportation attempted to rescue those who are trapped on rooftops in what has been one of the worst floods to strike the area in 60 years. International Mission Board (IMB) leaders are searching for ways to minister to the people affected in long-term capacities, as local officials believe the recovery will take years.
