For Baptist churches in Scotland, no change in status whatever the vote

SCOTLAND (ABP, TAB) — Despite the visits to voting booths throughout the country, Scottish Baptist officials say the independence referendum will not affect the Baptist Union of Scotland. Alan Donaldson, general director of the Baptist Union of Scotland, assured the country of this in an email sent Sept. 18. Donaldson called for prayer in the days prior to the vote, and many churches observed a day of prayer and fasting.
