Dallas Ebola patient Duncan dies

DALLAS, Texas (TAB, ABP) — The first patient to be diagnosed in the United States with Ebola, Thomas Eric Duncan, has died. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas, released a statement saying Duncan died Oct. 8. “Mr. Duncan succumbed to an insidious disease,” the statement said. “Our professionals, the doctors and nurses in the unit, as well as the entire (hospital) community, are also grieving his passing. We have offered the family our support and condolences at this difficult time.” Duncan’s fiancée, Troh, was baptized this summer into the membership of Wilshire Baptist Church, Dallas.
