From racial tension to Ebola to ISIS to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, 2014 was full of controversial issues and political and social discussions. More specific to Baptist life, the election of David Platt as president of the International Mission Board and the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s future-of-marriage conference that focused on the spread of homosexuality were top stories for the news site.
