TAB wins Alabama Press Association awards

  • Second place — best presswork in its division
  • Second place — best news feature story coverage for “Putting love into action” by Neisha Roberts
  • Third place — best spot news story for “In the midst of tragedy” by Jennifer Davis Rash
  • Third place — best editorial for “Is cooperation a principle or a convenience?” by Bob Terry
  • Third place — best editorial column or commentary for “Rashional Thoughts: Redeeming the Time” by Jennifer Davis Rash
  • Third place — newspaper website

Advertising Contest

  • First place — best single ad ½ page and under in color for “Eufala Pilgrimage ad” by Lauren C. Grim
  • Second place — best in paper promotion of newspaper for “The Alabama Baptist advertising campaign” by Bill Gilmore and Lauren C. Grim
  • Third place — best single ad ½ page and under in color for “Homewood Rotary Concert” by Lauren C. Grim
