Pastor Saeed Abedini: ‘torture … prayer … heartbreaking’

Screen Shot 2016-01-26 at 11.10.13 AMNORTH CAROLINA — (Edited by TAB from Fox News interview) Heartbreaking moments, torture and constant prayer made up the more than three years Christian Pastor Saeed Abedini spent while in prison in Iran.

Recently released in a prisoner swap between the United States and Iran, Abedini shared about his experience last night on “On The Record” with Greta Van Susteren of Fox News.

The heartbreaking times came when he saw others tortured or killed.

He also was beaten, accused of things he didn’t do, spent most of his time in solitary confinement and went without clothing and reading materials, Abedini said.

But each day he prayed, sometimes more than 20 hours a day, he said. “The best thing I could do over there was praying.”
