BIRMINGHAM (TAB) — It’s been two years since 276 girls were kidnapped from their school in Chibok, Nigeria, by Islamic extremist group Boko Haram. Of those abducted, 219 remain missing. For the parents of those girls, every day is a lesson in trust and survival.
Open Doors, a Christian nonprofit helping persecuted Christians across the world, recently met up with several fathers of the abducted girls. One father said, “It is by your prayer that we are surviving. We are trusting God and we are trusting you.”
Even in the midst of tragedy and heartache, these fathers are saying things like, “Let us forgive” those that have taken our children and, “We pray for Boko Haram that God will touch their hearts, open their minds and eyes.”
Several fathers share their heart in this Open Doors video.
