BIRMINGHAM (TAB, SBOM) — The State of Louisiana has requested assistance from Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief (DR) after recent flooding has impacted more than 400,000 homes, with about 75 percent being called a “total loss.”

Two Alabama DR shower trailers are set to be deployed to Louisiana. If a multi-region response is required after Louisiana Baptist Disaster Relief finishes assessments of the flood areas, Alabama DR teams will be ready respond, according to sbdr.org.
