In April 1966, Hudson Baggett was named editor of The Alabama Baptist by the board of directors. Baggett was considered well qualified for the position having previously served as a religion professor at Samford University in Birmingham. Upon accepting the position Baggett said, “I am honored at the confidence placed in me by the board of directors. By the help of God I will seek to justify this confidence as I serve the Baptists of Alabama in this important position.” (TAB)
Congratulations to all involved!! This is a GREAT group of hardworking folks!
